Different Communication styles in different situations

You may well find that you don’t communicate all the time in the same way and therefore consider the communication styles mentioned in other activities too abstract and far from reality, but communication styles are fluid. You may rely on an aggressive approach with family members but speak more passively with work colleagues. Communication styles also shift and change over time as we grow and learn from life experiences. Using our words is one thing, having the impact we intend takes skill and practice, especially when communicating with children or teenagers. That is why in the Western world in general the assertive style is promoted as the most adequate way of communication.
