What is an Operating System

Describe what an operating system is to the child using the following story: An operating system is the machine that is the most important part of a computer. It manages all computers' system and files to make sure that you can use the computer smoothly. The operating system keeps all information, memory, files and connects everything  on a computer so we can run the programmes in.
