What is a WiFi?

The purpose of this activity is to explain to your children what the wifi is, and why we need to be cautious when using a wifi that we don't know who it belongs to.

STEP 1: Show the modem of your wifi at home to your child and find the username and wifi password on it.

STEP 2: Guide your child into finding the wifi username on the device and insert the password.

STEP 3: Explain to your child that a wifi is a way for your device to talk to other devices without wires connecting them together. Data means information and on our devices there is a lot of it such as pictures, videos, words or music. So we need to be cautious to use a secure wifi and make sure when we connect to a wifi we insert a password. There is a danger that if we use a wifi we don't know whom it belongs to, other people might steal or hack data.
